Fire Department Rules
Granted by the New York City Charter, the Fire Department retains the authority to adopt rules which work in conjunction with the Fire Code 2014. These rules often include permit and certificate requirements compiled in Title 3 of the Rules of the City of New York. Section numbers of each rule reference the applicable section number of the Fire Code for easy reference.
