103.2.8.2.1 Township Certification When a County Is or Becomes Certified

A township may not submit an application pursuant to Section 103.2 to exercise enforcement authority, to accept and approve construction documents, and to make inspections that are located in a county that is already certified. If a township is certified and the county subsequently is certified by the board, the township's certification is preempted by the county one year after the county certification is effective or at an earlier date as the board of township trustees approves.
