1616.2.2 Sway Forces in Stadiums

- The sway force applied to seats in stadiums, grand-stands, bleachers and reviewing stands shall be not less than 24 pounds per lineal foot (350 N/m), applied perpendicularly and along the seats.
- Sway forces shall be applied simultaneously with gravity loads.
- Sway forces need not be applied simultaneously with other lateral forces.
