P-906.1 Steam Discharge

Steam exhaust from pressing machines, steam boiler blowoffs, or steam condensate drips
shall not discharge directly to the atmosphere nor be connected directly to the house drainage system.
Cooling methods shall be provided which automatically cool the exhaust to 140° F or less, if
the waste is discharged to the house drainage system. If potable water is used with a direct connection to the cooling
apparatus, a safe waste connection shall be used.
