204.13 Remedies
JUMP TO FULL CODE CHAPTER
In case any building or structure is constructed or its purpose altered so that it becomes in violation of the technical codes, or if the occupancy limits established are exceeded, the code enforcement official may institute any appropriate action or proceedings, including civil remedies, to:
- Prevent the unlawful erection, construction or reconstruction or alteration of purpose, or overcrowding;
- Restrain, correct or abate the violation; or
- Prevent the occupancy or use of the building, structure or land until the violation is corrected.
