C405.2.6.5 Outdoor Parking Area Lighting Control

Luminaires serving outdoor parking areas and having a rated input wattage of greater than 78 W and a mounting height of 24 feet (7.3 m) or less above the ground shall be controlled to automatically reduce the power of each luminaire by a minimum of 50 percent when no activity has been detected in the area illuminated by the controlled luminaires for a time of no longer than 15 minutes. No more than 1500 W of lighting power shall be controlled together.
