Cast iron no-hub soil pipe shall be supported by using threaded rod and clevis hangers. Sway bracing shall be installed where necessary. Hangers shall be provided at least every other joint, except that when the developed length between hangers exceeds 5 feet, they shall be provided at each joint. In no case shall hangers or supports be more than 5 feet apart. Hangers shall be placed immediately adjacent to the coupling. Piers of masonry or other suitable materials shall be approved to provide support.
