P-902.3.2 In Shared Trench

For house drains installed beyond the building wall in a trench with water service or water distribution pipe, the drain pipe shall be of cast iron or hard temper copper tube of a weight not less than type "L". The water pipe shall be laid on a bench or on a solidly tamped back-fill at a level at least 12 inches above the top of the drainage pipe and at least 12 inches horizontally from the center of the drainage pipe.
