R324.1.3.3 Freeboard
JUMP TO FULL CODE CHAPTER
A freeboard of two feet shall be added where the design flood elevation or other elevation requirements are specified.
Exception:
A freeboard shall not be required where it is not possible to obtain a design flood elevation from the FIRM or from any method established above and the design flood elevation is three feet above the highest adjacent grade.
