G105.4 Flood Shield Inspection

Where floodshields or other flood control devices are installed as part of a dry floodproofing system in buildings and structures that are nonresidential (for flood zone purposes), the special inspector or special inspection agency responsible for the flood zone compliance special inspection shall inspect the shields or devices in their stored positions or locations, witness their activation or transportation to their installed positions, and witness their deactivation or transportation back to their stored locations. The special inspector or special inspection agency shall also confirm the installation of signage required by ASCE 24, Section 6.2.3, Item 3.
