Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) piping shall be permitted for domestic hot and cold water service in buildings that house no more than three dwelling units and alternative housing designs such as single room occupancies with a maximum of 10 beds. All connections to domestic hot water heating equipment shall have a developed length of 4 feet of copper pipe.
