The local fire code official is authorized, but not required, to establish a permit program and issue a permit for the hazardous activities set forth in paragraphs (E)(6)(105.6) and (E)(7)(105.7) of this rule. Regardless of whether or not the local fire code official has established a permit program to issue permits for the hazardous activities set forth in paragraphs (E)(6)(105.6) and (E)(7)(105.7) of this rule, all other provisions of this code shall remain in full force and effect.
