22.214.171.124.1 Designated Areas

Prior to the start of any hot work in a designated area, at a minimum, the hot work operator shall perform the following:
- The location is verified as fire resistant.
- The requirements of 126.96.36.199(3) are met.
- Fire extinguishers are in working condition and readily available.
- Ventilation is working properly.
- Equipment is in working order.
Permanent areas designated for hot work shall be reviewed at least annually by the PAI. [51B:188.8.131.52.3]
