R609.2.1 Bond Beam Types

Bond beams shall be one of the following:
- 8 inches thick × 8 inches high masonry.
8 inches thick × 12 inches high masonry.8 inches thick × 16 inches high masonry.8 inches thick × 24 inches high masonry.8 inchesthick × 32 inches high masonry.
- Precast units certified by the manufacturer for the uplift loads as set forth in the standard used for design of the building as specified in Section R301.2.1.1. Precast units shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications, and approved by the building official.
