JUMP TO FULL CODE CHAPTER
Appendages on buildings of Type I or II construction shall be constructed of noncombustible materials. However, on buildings not more than three stories or 40 feet (12 192 mm) in height, whichever is less, fire-retardant-treated wood shall be permitted.
