Notice:

The building codes and standards listed above are adopted by the Office of the State Architect as minimum requirements to all construction at state agencies and institutions of higher education owned facilities. The 2015 International Fire Code is still adopted by the Department of Public Safety/Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC).

The building codes of Colorado adopt the the International Building Code 2018 (IBC 2018), International Residential Code 2018 (IRC 2018), International Existing Building Code 2018 (IEBC 2018), International Fire Code 2018 (IFC 2018), International Plumbing Code 2018 (IPC 2018), International Mechanical Code 2018 (IMC 2018), International Fuel Gas Code 2018 (IFGC 2018), International Energy Conservation Code 2018 (IECC 2018), Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities, 2009, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2016, National Electrical Code, 2020, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, 2013, Life Safety Code, 2012, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, 2013, and the Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete 2014.
